Priya PatelThe Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has revealed its vision for 2024, announcing six new projects that will focus on areas like quantum security, artificial intelligence (AI) in finance, and green finance. One project, called Project Leap, will work on “quantum-proofing” payment systems against potential future threats from quantum computers. Another project, Project Symbiosis, will use AI and big data to improve emissions tracking in supply chains. The BIS Innovation Hub, which has carried out almost 30 projects over the past four years, aims to investigate the feasibility of different applications rather than endorse specific technologies.
