Ascot Group has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Johnson as its new Group Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. In her new role, Johnson will lead the company’s global operational support organisation and oversee technology, business intelligence, and communications and marketing functions. Johnson joined Ascot Group in 2020 as Chief Underwriting Officer, North America, before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer, North America in 2022. Ascot Group CEO Jonathan Zaffino praised Johnson’s strategic vision and execution skills and highlighted her efforts in enhancing operational efficiencies, underwriting discipline, and IT capabilities.
