LPL scoops up Atria Wealth Solutions, a $805M mega-deal

TLDR: LPL Financial has agreed to acquire Atria Wealth Solutions for $805 million plus additional earn-outs of up to $230 million. The deal would bring 2,400 financial advisors with $100 billion in client assets to LPL. Atria is a holding company that has acquired seven brokerages since its launch in 2017. After the deal closes, LPL will operate Atria as a standalone company for the rest of the year before consolidating the brokerages together. This is LPL’s largest acquisition in seven years and follows several other recent deals in the independent brokerage space.
