The branch, located at 585 E. Palatine Road, will be 5,941 square feet and will feature two drive-through lanes. It will replace the existing branch in the Northpoint Shopping Center. The new building will have a modern design with green features, such as timber frame construction and solar panels on the roof. Stormwater runoff will be directed through a rain garden and an underground vault. Village staff requested additional shade trees along Rand Road and a 10-foot multi-use bike path/sidewalk. Construction is expected to begin in the spring and be completed by fall.
